ScriptureVerse ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website and application at scriptureverse.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials through our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account.
Profile Preferences
You may optionally provide your denomination, Bible knowledge level, and display name during onboarding. These are used to personalize your AI Teacher experience.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the platform, including verses explored, themes studied, and conversation history with the AI Teacher. This data powers your personal Journey tracking and helps us improve the service.
AI Conversation Data
Conversations with the AI Teacher are stored to provide continuity, memory features, and personalized responses. The AI may extract key preferences and spiritual interests from your conversations to improve future interactions.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalize the ScriptureVerse experience
- To power the AI Teacher's memory and contextual understanding
- To track your Bible exploration journey and show progress
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send important service-related communications
- To improve the platform and fix issues
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate ScriptureVerse:
- Clerk — Authentication and user management
- Supabase — Database hosting (PostgreSQL)
- Neo4j — Graph database for Bible data
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI Teacher responses
- OpenAI — Text embeddings for semantic search
- Vercel — Application hosting
- Stripe — Payment processing
Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
5. AI-Specific Disclosures
Your conversations with the AI Teacher are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train their models. Your conversations are not shared with other users.
The AI Teacher may extract and store memories from your conversations (such as your name, denomination, or spiritual interests) to provide personalized responses in future sessions. You can view and delete these memories in your account settings.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers in the United States via Supabase and Neo4j cloud services. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, parameterized database queries, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your conversation history and journey data
- View and delete AI-stored memories about you

8. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we implement analytics, we will use privacy-respecting tools that do not sell your data.
9. Children's Privacy
ScriptureVerse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
